Breakfast with Tiffany's

Wine blogs don’t normally talk about breakfast but these are hardly normal times. You may even harbor views about someone who would drink wine in the morning, but sometimes it is fun to break the “rules.”

At the Food Network South Beach Wine and Food Festival, Dolce paired up with Tiffany’s for a wine breakfast. Call it the ultimate breakfast if you must. (It was the first event to sell out and up to the last day there were some who kept trying to get in!) We would like to think it was the Dolce, Katie Lee Joel, (Billy Joel’s wife) was the perfectly graceful hostess who reminded everyone of Audrey Hepburn.

Breakfast has never been more of an adventure in fun and in pushing food and wine boundaries than that morning in Florida. You should try your own version sometime.

There are more breakfast and savory foods to go with Dolce than you might think. (It may be called a late-harvest or a dessert wine but why limit yourself?) The hard part wasn’t deciding if the food and Dolce went together, but rather which vintage of Dolce was “the one.”

What’s not to like about getting a party favor in the classic blue box? Usually, we think that small blue boxes are good and that bigger is better…right?

Larry may have taken bigger to a new extreme. There is no photoshopping going on. His box really was THAT big! The next time you see Larry, be sure to ask him what was in that box.
